The Fox Glacier Community Development Society Incorporated Trust ('the Trust') engaged Signal to manage the concept design and feasibility planning stage for its proposed development of a community facility for the Fox Glacier township.

The concept development phase included the following key activities:

• Workshops designed to test the Trust's key objectives and project parameters;• Definition of a clear Project Brief - with a key focus on needs and project budget;
• Consultation with key stakeholders: Westland District Council, potential users, affected parties etc;
• Resource consent planning;
• Coordination of a South Island wide design consultant team

This phase culminated in the preparation of a detailed concept design and budget report designed as a credible presentation document to assist the Trust with its fundraising activities.

The proposed $2.5M, 860m2, managed community facility incorporates a multi-use single court stadium, offices, kitchen and associated infrastructure facilities.

Fundraising for the balance of the project budget is currently underway.
