A detailed Condition Assessment of the principal Otago
University campus buildings owned by the Otago University Students
Union (OUSA), which included the Student Support, Squash, Aquatic
and Clubs & Recreation buildings, subsequently resulted in
Signal being engaged by the OUSA to plan and manage the
redevelopment of the Clubs & Recreation Building (refer
separate case study).
Allied to this condition assessment process the OUSA also
determined the need to refurbish one of its leased facilities, the
two-storey Students Union building. This involved upgrading
the reception, administration and student executive
spaces.
Signal planned and managed the refurbishment work which
was carefully staged to minimise disruption to staff and ensure
that the building remained operational throughout.
