Signal Management Group were commissioned by the Invercargill
City Council to manage the $2.5M redevelopment of the Civic
Administration Building.
Each of the five floors in the building were fully refurbished
with a number of partition changes to office layouts. A new CCTV
system was installed in the building along with upgrades to the
heating, ventilation and fire detection systems.
A new Council Chamber was also created adjacent to the new
Executive Offices. These had been relocated from the Civic Theatre
to make way for the theatre redevelopment. The Council Chamber was
fitted out with state-of-the-art audio visual systems.
Work was undertaken in three stages to allow council operations
to continue uninterrupted during the 12 month construction
period.
Signal recently completed further refurbishments to the Fourth
floor of the building including the reconfiguration and upgrade of
existing office and administrative spaces.
