Millbrook is New Zealand's leading golf resort, set in spectacular surroundings just outside Arrowtown. The resort has been steadily expanding its impressive real estate.
Signal Management Group has been engaged by Millbrook to manage the expansion of the resort, called Millbrook West. Signal is responsible for all aspects of the project, including planning and statutory approvals, management of infrastructure design, project financial management, procurement and tendering, and management of construction.
Millbrook West Stage One provides 59 new home sites and a new 9 hole golf course extension to the existing 18 hole championship course. The project has involved 40km of underground water and drainage pipework, several kilometers of new road and around 100,000 cubic meters of earth was moved to form the house platforms, roading and golf course.
Hundreds of tonnes of rock were brought in from Millbrook's own quarry to form the resort's trademark stone retaining walls.
Substantial roading and infrastructure required for future stages of Millbrook West was also built as part of Stage One.
The project involved eight seperate resource consents, covers over 100 hectares and involved over 30 contractors and suppliers.
Stage Two (called Mill Green) involved the design and construction of nine additional house sites overlooking the Coronet Nine holes constructed in Stage One.
Planning for future stages of development at Millbrook West is currently underway.
